Petzl Climbing Equipment - It's about safety and environmental protection
Since the 1930s, Petzl has constantly evolved to this day. With a passion for exploring caves and cliffs in the most inaccessible places, Petzl has manufactured equipment that has made the impossible possible. In 1991 they launched the GRIGRI, the first mechanical rope brake and in 1998 came the Tibloc, an ultra-compact rope clamp/ascender. Petzl produces equipment for both sports climbing and for professional use in the industry or for rescue work. If you want to know more about Petzl, about their sports equipment or industrial equipment, take a look here: Petzl Climbing Equipment Environmental Protection and The Petzl Foundation. Petzl set up a fund whose goal is to support projects internationally, where the focus is on environmental conservation, prevention of climbing accidents through education and research on how we can better protect nature.
