Petzl Verso belay device for rope climbing and rappelling

VERSO is Petzl's lightest belay device and it is suitable for most rope diameters. It is intuitive and easy to use in the climbing gym or at the crack; suitable for learning to belay with. The specific design of the rope slots allows the rope to slip smoothly and reduce wear.

  • Adapted to a wide range of rope diameters:
    - V-shaped friction grooves allow controlled braking
    - compatible with dynamic single ropes 8.5 to 11 mm
    - compatible with dynamic half rope 7.1 to 9.2 mm
    - compatible with dynamic ywin rope 6.9 to 9.2 mm
  • Easy to use:
    - classic securing technique with both hands on the rope
    - rope slides smoothly through the brake
    - can be used for rappelling
    - rope installation diagrams for securing and rappelling engraved on the device
  • Durable and lightweight:
    - the rounded design of the rope slots reduces wear and extends the service life of the brake
    - compact and ultra lightweight: 55 g
