Crimps as climbing hold type are used for the more experienced climbers. Crimps place great demands on muscle and ligament strength in the fingers. We recommend a minimum of 2 years climbing experience before you should accept these challenging holds.
Crimps - Climbing holds where there is only room for your fingertips
A crimp sometimes requires an almost closed hand to hold. With the tips of the fingers pointing downwards and with the whole bodyweight of the fingertips, there is a great reason for clenched teeth and loud deep roars. Crimps are typically used on lightly overhanging, vertical and slab walls.
